The V2Xcast® software architecture supports additional GNSS antennas. The original GNSS integrated in the Unex’s V2X system is a crucial component responsible for providing “position” and “time” information for V2X standards and applications. Depending on the application scenario of the external GNSS antenna, here are two common software approaches:
- If the external GNSS is directly connected to your main server platform, the V2Xcast® supports the following architecture:
- The message block is filled in by the developer, allowing the location information to be obtained through the connected GNSS.
- Conversely, information within the message (e.g., RTCM) can be transmitted to the connected GNSS device via the main server system.
- The initially deployed GNSS is only used to ensure the proper functioning of all features.
2. If the external GNSS is directly connected to your host platform, the V2Xcast® supports the following architecture:
- The message block is filled in by the developer, allowing the location information to be obtained through the connected GNSS.
- Conversely, information within the message (e.g., RTCM) can be transmitted to the connected GNSS device via the main server system.
- The initially deployed GNSS is only used to ensure the proper functioning of all features.
Both of the mentioned scenarios support the integration of external GNSS, allowing you to choose the direct connection to the main server platform based on your requirements. With this architecture, developers can obtain location information through the connected GNSS and fill in the necessary information in the message block. Similarly, the main server system can transmit information from the message to the connected GNSS device. The initially deployed GNSS is used to ensure the proper functioning of all features.
