V2X System-On-Module – Communication Range Analysis

Field testing has demonstrated that Unex Technology’s V2X SOM system module achieves a communication range of 150 to 300 meters in urban traffic environments, enabling critical applications such as intersection collision warnings and traffic signal information broadcasting.

The module has been rigorously tested and validated against both IEEE 802.11p and C-V2X standards. It delivers outstanding performance in RF stability, signal interference resistance, and packet transmission efficiency—making it a highly reliable solution for intelligent transportation systems (ITS) and V2X deployments.

Product development is strictly aligned with international standards, including:

  • IEEE 1609 protocol stack for V2X communications
  • 3GPP Release 14/15 C-V2X specifications
  • Regional spectrum regulations, including the 5.9 GHz ITS band

Transmission Range Testing

Throughout the entire tested distance, message transmission remained highly consistent and reliable, meeting the stringent safety communication requirements of V2X applications.

Equipment setup

The test was conducted with the V2X unit placed as the reference point.
Performance metrics were systematically gathered to assess operational effectiveness in actual deployment environments.
